High School Credit Courses

We offer high school credit courses for secondary school students for Grade 9 to Grade 12, who are working to complete their OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) for both University and College preparation. Our Classroom Teaching is augmented by an extensive list of high school courses. There are 100u2019s of them and they keep getting added every week.

Analyzing Current Economic Issues, Grade 12, CIA4U This course investigates the nature of the competitive global economy and explores howindividuals and societies can gain the information they need to make appropriate economic decisions. Students will learn about the principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics, apply economic models and concepts to interpret economic information, assess the validity of statistics, and investigate marketplace dynamics. Students will use economic inquiry and communication skills to analyze current economic issues, make informed judgments, and present their findings.

  3. Nutrition and Health, Grade 12, University Prep HFA4U This course examines various nutritional, psychological, social, cultural, and global factors that influence people’s food choices and customs. Students will learn about current Canadian and worldwide issues related to food, frameworks for making appropriate dietary choices, and food-preparation techniques. This course also refines students’ skills used in researching and investigating issues related to food and nutrition.

  4. English University Preparation, Grade 12, ENG4U This course emphasizes the consolidation of the literacy, communication, and critical and creative thinking skills necessary for success in academic and daily life. Students will analyze a range of challenging literary texts from various periods, countries, and cultures; interpret and evaluate informational and graphic texts; and create oral, written, and media texts in a variety of forms. An important focus will be on using academic language coherently and confidently, selecting the reading strategies best suited to texts and particular purposes for reading, and developing greater control in writing. The course is intended to prepare students for university, college, or the workplace.
