  1. CLINICALCOMPARATIVE STUDYOFAGNIKARMA Sandhigata Vatais one of VataVyadhi characterized by the symptoms such as Sandhishoola (joint pain) and Sandhishopha (swelling of joint). In Group-A,AgnikarmawasdonewithRajataShalakawhileinGroup-BAgnikarmawas performedbyLohaShalakainfoursittings.Assessmentinreliefofsigns and symptomswasdonebyweeklyinterval,andStudent'st-testwasappliedfor statisticalanalysis. EffectofAgnikarmaonswellingofkneejoint In Group-A, 04.21% and while in Group-B, 04.67% relief was observed in the level of swellingmeasuredatmidpointofpatella,whichwasfoundstatisticallyfound significant (P < 0.05) after 4 weeks of treatment.Agnikarma with Rajata Shalaka in Group-A provided 04.31% relief while Loha Shalaka in Group-B provided 04.71% reliefinthegirthmeasuredat2inchesabovethepatella,whichwasfound statisticallysignificant(P< 0.05).Group-A provided 04.17% relief while Group-B provided04.22%reliefinswellingmeasuredat2inchesbelowthepatella,which wasfound statistically significant(P < 0.05)[Tables EffectofAgnikarmaonkneejointmovements Ingoniometricobservation,angleofextensionwasfoundincreasedby10.40%in Group-Aand6.19%inGroup-B.Angleofflexionwasfoundreduced33.70%in
