  1. The Natural Way to Control Kidney Disease The elevated levels of blood creatinine are the most widespread cause of the increasing cases of kidney malfunction or failure. And invariably the outlook is bleak for the kidney patients who either face a life sentence of frequent dialysis or a kidney transplant, if they are truly lucky. But in this dismal situation, a new kidney diet has recently emerged as a glimmer of hope causing a stir amongst the normally conservative world of renal medicine. The past decade has witnessed a lot of research related to the effects of a special diet that holds promise for patients of kidney diseases. Several articles have appeared in some of the leading medical journals reporting encouraging results in deceleration of growth of kidney disease with the help of a special diet. These reports have been well received by the best nephrologist in East Delhi as they have been penned by highly authoritative authors and backed with convincing documentation. The primary cause of kidney disease Studies have shown that there is an explicit link between a specially designed kidney disease diet and the control and reversal of this condition. This study also reinforces that fact that nearly 60% of patients suffering from renal disease had indications of malnutrition and about half showed some form of dietary-related problems, such as type two diabetes, anaemia or the early stages of kidney stone formation. High blood pressure or hypertension is another lifestyle disorder that can cause major damage to your kidneys.

  2. Though a kidney unfriendly diet is a prominent reason for renal disorders, it isn't the only reason you can acquire kidney disease. A sedentary lifestyle and excessive use of painkillers (Non-Steroidal Anti- inflammatory Drugs) are also the major contributors to this problem. That being said, all three of these risk factors are well within the patient’s control. A better diet and deep-breathing can greatly help to control high blood pressure. Basics of Kidney Diet The core idea of a pro-kidney diet is to eliminate certain ingredients and foodstuffs from your diet that aggravate the problem and consume more foods that are beneficial to your condition. The two major culprits you must eliminate from your diet are sodium and phosphorus. The majority of processed foods are heavily loaded with both of these so your diet must be free of any processed ingredients. Judging food solely by how it tastes, we seldom pay attention to the quality of the ingredients that go in the preparation of that stuff. We forget that to maximize profits, food manufacturers use the cheapest possible ingredients and a whole armoury of chemicals. One of these is phosphorus, which can come in several pretences. Essentially a pro-kidney must have the right balance of protein, calories, vitamins, and minerals. This diet has to be rich in fruits, veggies, low-fat dairy products, whole grains, fish, poultry, beans, seeds, and nuts. It’s low in sodium, sugars and sweets, fats, and red meats. Following the kidney diet can seem daunting at times. However, working with your healthcare provider and a renal dietitian can help you design a renal diet specific to your individual needs.
