  1. GATE Coaching Delhi Physical Science (PH) GATE Coaching Delhi Physical Science (PH) What is GATE? The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an All-India examination administered and conducted in eight zones across the country by the GATE Committee comprising of Faculty members from IISc, Bangalore and other seven IIT’s on behalf of the National Coordinating Board, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development. The GATE score/rank is used for admissions to Post Graduate Programs (ME, M.Tech, MS, Direct Ph.D.) in institutes like IITs and IISc etc with financial assistance offered by MHRD. PSUs too use the GATE scores for recruiting candidates for various prestigious jobs with attractive remuneration.In GATE examination, candidates can apply for only one of the 23 papers listed in the table given below. Candidates are expected to appear in a paper appropriate to the discipline of their qualifying degree.

  2. However, candidates are free to choose any paper according to their admission plan, keeping in mind the eligibility criteria of the institutions in which they wish to seek admission. GATE is considered to be the standard examination conducted not only for post graduation admissions but also to open the gates for lucrative opportunities in several public sector enterprises and research organizations. Based on the score achieved in GATE, admissions are offered in IITs, IISc, and NITs, and abundant opportunities for campus placements with salary packages ranging from Rs. 6 lakh to 30 lakh. Candidates on qualifying GATE, get a financial aid of 8000/-pm in the form of UGC scholarship. Students interested in management can swing in the management line by pursuing a PG Diploma of 2 years in Industrial Engineering.   4. Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE/ MHRD as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed Section A of AMIE or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible. Exam Patternof GATE 2022has been revised GATE 2022is a3-hour online test where candidates will have to attempt65 questions carrying 100 marks. GATE 2022Syllabusconsists of three sections, General Aptitude, Mathematical Engineering and Core-subject Specific Section, for most of the papers. 1.As per the revised GATE 2022exam pattern, for the papers with codes AE, AG, BM, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, ES, IN, ME, MN, MT, PE, PI, TF and XE, 15% marks weightage will be given to General Aptitude, 13% to Engineering Mathematics and remaining 72% to subject paper. 2. Papers with codes AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, ST, XH and XL, the General Aptitude section will carry 15% of the total marks and the remaining 85% of the total marks are for the subject paper. 3. For revised GATE 2022Exam Pattern, apart from MCQs, GATE 2022Question Paper will also include Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NATs)

  5. Questions. MSQs:-MSQs are objective type questions with choices of four answers out of which one or more than one choice(s) are correct. There will be no negative marking for such questions and each question will carry 1 or 2 marks each. NAT:-NAT are 1 to 2 mark questions in most of the papers with numerical value-based answers. There will be no choices for such questions and the answer can be a signed real number, an integer or decimal. For MCQ type questions +1 or 2 marks will be awarded for correct answers whereas ⅓ marks will be deductedfor 1 mark question and ⅔ for 2 mark questions. No negative marking will be there in NAT and MSQs
