  15. PROGRAMS Program Admission You must complete an Online Student Profile and pay an Assessment Fee of $40. A video interview is also considered in the selection process. Failed and Repeated Courses While recognizing that there may be valid reasons to repeat a course, the University of Toronto reserves the right to give preference to students whose marks are the result of a single attempt at each course.

  17. SCHEDULE OF DATES: OUAC January 15, 2O20 Deadline for Ontario high school students to submit completed applications to the OUAC. February 13, 2020 Deadline for the OUAC to receive all final first-semester grades from Ontario high schools. April 23, 2020 Deadline for the OUAC to receive mid-term grades for second semester from Ontario high schools May 27, 2020 The latest date all high school applicants can expect a response from an Ontario University (offer, refusal or deferral) June 1, 2020 The earliest date an Ontario high school student may be required to respond to an offer of admission and give a financial commitment of any kind. July 6, 2020 Deadline for the OUAC to receive final grades for current semester/year courses from Ontario secondary schools.

It will also send you email updates when new scholarships become available * • scholarshipscanada.com has thousands of awards listed; search by school, field of study, or source • ontarioscholarships.ca lists many scholarships for students entering College or University • schoolfinder.com helps students find a school that suits them and features a scholarship search engine • Tip: When creating online profiles for these sites, answer the questions with as much detail as possible so that you are matched with as many awards as possible. • PRIVATE SOURCES • Many private organizations offer scholarships and bursaries and give them out for all kinds of different reasons.   24. You can apply anytime after February 1st until September 2020 if the course is “open” to applications. IMPORTANT DATES:

  25. All university programs are not superior to all college programs!! ie. Sheridan Animation is considered one of the best animation programs in the world! Colleges offer 4 year degree programs (ie. Business,) that often have a guarantee of COOP in the field of study. Why might you consider a College education?

  26. The purpose of a college education is to get you a job at the end of program ie. Bachelor of Business - Automotive Management at Georgian College It is generally easierto get into a college degree than a university degree. ie. Minimum 65% for ENG4U You can’t get into the program you want because you don’t have the grades ie. Nursing – start in the diploma course first Why might you consider a College education?

  27. Don’t have the marks? Try a ‘University Transfer Diploma’ For students going into the ARTS or HUMANITIES (Not for math or sciences?) 2 years is equal to 1 ½ of university ie. Start at Sheridan then go to The University of Toronto Why might you consider a College education?
