you only have 5 minutes to do this
You only have 5 minutes to do this…
  • Have one person from your group type up the list of words your group came up with for each story. The link is 5 Short Stories Vocab.
  • At the end of 5 minutes, I will pull up whatever is submitted, and I will tell you if any of the words will be on the test.

logging books for the book challenge
Logging books for the book challenge…
  • Many questions have been asked about the Bible.
  • In order to submit pages from the Bible, you must submit each book from the bible individually, with page count and summary. You may not submit the entire Bible as one book.
  • The book challenge closes at 4:30 tomorrow.
today s agenda
Today’s Agenda
  • You will have the next 30 minutes to discuss the questions on the red/pink paper. This is a great review for tomorrow’s test. You may take any notes you want from today’s discussion.
  • If your group (or you as an individual) chooses at any point to stop discussing the questions I have given you, you will complete the assignment on the side board.
  • If you have time after you are done, you may continue giving me vocabulary words.

We could see the stars perfectly in the pitch black sky. (Sights)

The sound of crickets started filling the air. (Sounds)

I asked the question again, “Why are we here?” (Questions)

Feelings of confusion clouded my head. (Thoughts/Feelings)

With the sun waking up, the temperature did also.

(Light/Atmosphere)

The once dark sky flooded with color as the sun rose. (Sights)

The repetitive sound of crickets was drowned out by the chirping of birds.

(Sounds)

The questions filled my mind, “Why are we doing this?” (Questions)

Feelings of confusion were still in my head. (Thoughts/Feelings)

With the rocket coming into view the beachfront was getting crowded.

(Light/Atmosphere)

The sun was still beating down on us; we waited. (Sights)

The sound of chattering was overwhelming. (Sounds)

The only question in my mind was, “When are they going to take off?”

(Questions)

Excitement built up in my chest as we waited. (Thoughts/Feelings)

slide11

Then, there it was, mid-flight shining in the sky with its glistening tail behind it. (Light/Atmosphere)

All attention directed away from the baby blue sky. (Sights)

The sonic boom of sound that followed the rocket was incredible.

(Sounds)

The only question in my mind was, “When are they going to take off?”

(Questions)

Feelings of pure awe ran through me. (Thoughts/Feelings)
