  1. Performance Analyzer and Management for Acute Care

  2. The PSCI Acute Care Performance Analyzer and Management module is a performance dashboard and clinical analyzer for administrators, physicians and other clinicians to collaboratively manage cost, quality and risk. • The Acute Care Performance Analyzer analyzes what-if scenarios in real-time for predictive models and optimization.

  3. Using improvement opportunities from the Triple Aim Analyzer, administrators can visually understand and compare the financial and quality of care impact of each opportunity. • For example, when the system pinpoints a cost variance, it also reveals the root cause, such as order set for a particular patient-mix

  4. It’s easy to create a scenario on-the-fly to evaluate the impact of order set standardization in terms of cost and quality. Alternately, if the root cause is simply Physician Preference Items (PPIs) or increased Length of Stay (LOS), the user can create and save scenarios for PPI standardization and LOS reduction.

  5. The quality improvement team can decide which scenario(s) to implement, based on ROI, investment needs, time to implement and other factors. • Prediction models can also quantify the future impact of each scenario.

  6. For example, administrators can use models to predict 30-day re-admission rates for Total Hip Replacement over the next few quarters or years, if they choose to invest in certain order set standardization and other customer satisfaction training programs today, and with various compliance levels.

  7. Finally, the optimizer can identify which scenarios have the greatest potential for impact by analyzing the trade-offs between cost savings, quality improvements, cost to implement, complexity to implement and other variables.

  8. KEY FEATURES… • Perform what-if scenarios and quantify the cost and quality impact of improvement opportunities • “What is the impact of order set standardization on cost, quality and risk?” • “What is the impact of Physician Preference part standardization?” • Create new order sets based on best practices

  9. KEY FEATURES… • Predict future quality outcome measure scores based on past performance data and action plans • Identify the right mix of quality measures to focus on to maximize pay-for-performance • Explore the tradeoffs based on cost to implement, complexity, strategic impact

  10. KEY FEATURES… • Prioritize quality improvement programs to maximize financial impact, based on ROI • Evaluate incremental revenue based on increased quality measure performance, impact on overall cost-of-care for the scenario and cost-to-implement the program • “Which quality improvement initiatives should I invest in first?” • Leverage claims data, cost accounting (optional), patient satisfaction surveys, and quality measures files

  11. ABOUT PSCI • PSCI is an innovative provider of predictive population risk analytics for care management and contract optimization leveraging EMR, Claims & Demographics data for medical homes, physician groups, ACOs, hospital systems, IDNs, and shared savings programs.

  12. ABOUT PSCI • PSCI delivers predictive chronic disease models for population state-of-health risk stratification, quality-cost-risk visibility, "what-if" modeling and ACO demand planning for improving overall healthcare provider and payer performance. • PSCI is critical to managing “At-Risk” populations and pay-for-performance objectives.
