NGO stands for non-governmental organization it is a non-profit organization formed by a group of private persons that operates independently of any government, usually one whose purpose is to address a social or political issue. NGO is a body which performs certain duties of the government and works on behalf of government which may or may not be funded by government.

  1. What are purpose of NGOs and how NGOs helps children to strengthen their lives? NGO stands for non-governmental organization it is a non-profit organization formed by a group of private persons that operates independently of any government, usually one whose purpose is to address a social or political issue. NGO is a body which performs certain duties of the government and works on behalf of government which may or may not be funded by government. Passing with time, the country is growing but the growth is not able to touch every level of society in the same way. Some people are progressing and becoming habituated with an annual foreign trip, on the other hand a major part of the society is facing problem in earning bread daily. NGOs take significant steps to reach out the root of this problem and helping them to giving better lives through their own development. The responsibilities of an NGO in developing society are not limited to extending help to the poor; even NGOs also take a leading part in other social issues like child and women trafficking, child and adult education, and providing proper medical care to people with physical and mental disability. The organizations provide essential services in developing world, and which are mainly taken care by the government agencies or institutions in the developing countries. A large no. of children dies in India due to lack of medical treatment. NGOs work with government and communities to improve the health of children. In India, child labor is uncontrolled even laws are against it. In some states of India, child trafficking is uncontrolled so, NGOs also ensure that every child is going to school. In this NGOs save the children from child labor and also increase the chances of bright future of the children with proper education. In natural calamities, children are worst affected. NGOs ensure their right to survival and development after an emergency. NGOs also train the children to resist critical situations at the

This requires quality monitoring and studies and researching in the different fields related to children. The most important activities of the NGOs in strengthen the children’s lives are to understanding and giving the more care and protection to those children who requires. All the children have the right to healthy, happy and getting quality education is the primary objective of NGOs.
