History of C language History of C Language: C history, There Were many languages before Develop C Language. for Example FORTRAN(Formula Translator) was used for Scientific and Mathematical applications. so the need of such language was felt which could be useful for most of the purposes. Then the C language was developed by Dennis Ritchie in the 1970s at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill in the USA. Initially, it was developed for programming in the operating system called UNIX. c programming tutorial after that the whole UNIX operating system was Re-written in the C history, The C language is Derived from B language. B language is written by Ken Thompson at AT&T Bell laboratories. and The B language was adopted from BCPL(Basic Combined Programming Language).which was developed by Martin Richards at Cambridge University.
