  2. Introduction • An Endodontics/Root Canal is a treatment to repair and save a damaged tooth by removing the inflamed or infected pulp tissue from within the tooth. The common causes for affecting the pulp are cracked tooth, cavity, and repeated dental treatment. • The term Root Canal comes from cleaning of canals inside the tooth's root. • The Term Endo in the Greek word is known as "inside" dontics in the Greek word is known as "tooth".

  6. Step 1 of Endodontics Procedure: • Our endodontist Dr. Tran examines and takes a radiograph of the tooth using x-rays and gives local anesthesia. X-Ray Examination

  7. Step 2 of Endodontics Procedure: 2. After the tooth gets numb a small sheet known as the dental dam is placed over the area to isolate the tooth and keep it clean and free of saliva. Placement of Dental Dam

  8. Step 3 of Endodontics Procedure: 3. Our Endodontist makes an opening in the crown of the tooth. Very small instruments are used to clean the pulp chamber and root canals. Opening of Root Canal

  9. Step 4 of Endodontics Procedure: 4. After cleaning is done the root canal is filled with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha. It is placed with an adhesive cement to ensure complete sealing of the root canals. Placement of Gutta-Percha
