  1. Benefits Of LPG Gas Regulator A LPG Gas Regulator is a device that automatically adjusts an outlets pressure to a pre-set value. An LP gas regulator controls gas flow through the LP gas line, decreasing the pressure from a storage container down to the gas line, and ultimately the appliances that are served by the gas line. The primary function of a propane regulator is to control the flow of gas exiting from a Propane Bullet Tank into an appliance being fuelled. While the Two-Stage regulator does its job of maintaining consistent pressure within the propane tank, it also prevents freezing. Freezes occur when a high pressure in a propane tank allows the gas to expand inside the body of the regulator. The pressure inside a propane tank needs to drop and is regulated to use at a house, RV, camper, or outside gas appliances. Properly functioning propane tanks should be able to handle pressures as varied as 8 PSI to 220 PSI without interruption in gas flow to the level of 11 inches water column (w.c.) required for an appliance. A low-pressure regulator, reducing gas pressure to 6 ounces (10.5 inches of water column), is required for residential applications. This low-pressure regulator would be located on or near the primary gas tank for a residential appliance. A home appliance can get access to low-pressure propane gas via the convenience gas spigot located somewhere after the low-pressure regulator, or directly from a portable tank, such as those found at Home Depot or Lowes. The main function of the gas regulator is to regulate gas pressure and provide a consistent pressure for your appliances. According to Propane 101, A regulator as primary function is to regulate the flow of gas from a reservoir to a connected appliance, providing a low-pressure buffer between. Single-stage regulators only have a regulator where the flow of gas is input, and the pressure is reduced. Two-stage regulators lead to a more consistent gas flow, good news for your propane- burning appliances.

  2. A two-stage setup lowers pressure from 1,000 kPa down to 70-135 kPa as the gas flows into the regulators first stage. A pressure-reducing regulator is used to lower the input pressure of gas, to ensure it is at the desired pressure from the start. For more: LPG Gas Regulator Price
