  1. 4 Steps to fix hp printer is not responding issue Restart the Printer Spooler Service Press Window logo and R to open the Run command. Enter service.msc in the run box and hit enter. Locate Printer spooler from the list of tasks. Right click on it and restart. Check your HP printer is working now. Reinstall HP Printer Drivers Open Run Command by pressing Windows logo + R from your keyboard. Now enter devmgmt.ms From the printer category right click on your printer and uninstall it. Check the option “delete the driver software for this device” and confirm the uninstallation. Now that the printer drivers are removed, you need to install the printer driver again.After installation of updated drivers, you need to add a printer with your system. Use Windows Troubleshooter Tool Navigate to the control panel. Right Click on device and printers. Select Troubleshoot option. Follow the on-screen instruction to complete the troubleshooting process. Updating Printer Drivers Launch the Run Command by pressing Windows+R. Type “devmgmt.msc” and hit Enter. In Device Manager Navigate to the hardware. Now Open “Print queues” Select the “Update driver” by right clicking on your printer hardware option. Follow the Popup Command to Install latest drivers.
