  1. 3 WAYS TO FIX HP PRINTER IS MISSING LINES ERROR TROUBLESHOOT IN 3 WAYS If you want to resolve this problem, you can use the below-mentioned fixes: FIX NUMBER 1: CLEAN THE METAL CONTACTS Turn off your HP device. Take the power cord out of the main outlet as well. Then, take the cartridges out of the cartridge door by opening the door. However, pull out the cartridges only if the carriage has stopped moving. After that wipe the contacts clean with a cloth. Keep in mind to clean the copper contacts with distilled water and a lint-free cloth only. Clean the contacts in the carriage also. Verify the contacts on the carriage and ink cartridge are completely dry before using them. Afterward, carefully insert the contacts back into their sockets. Place the cartridges so that the nozzle faces upwards. Now, close the cartridge access door after placing the cartridges. Test the print quality and configuration by printing a sample job. After fixing the problem, everything should be working fine. FIX NUMBER 2: PUT THE BLACK CARTRIDGE ASIDE FOR A WHILE Take out the ink cartridge and close the access door. Next, place the cartridge on a piece of paper to dry it. Ensure the nozzle is facing upwards. Let the cartridge sit in the same position for 2-3 hours. Try printing the test page again. FIX NUMBER 3: CLEANING THE PRINT CARTRIDGES WITH THE TOOL Turn on the printer after connecting it to the system. Next, select "Control Panel" from the "Start" menu. Then click "Devices and Printers". The list of printers connected to your computer will appear there. Click the HP printer icon and choose "Printing Preferences.". Now Right-click on the “Services” tab under the Printing Preferences Section. Then, click "Service this Device". The "Printer Toolbox" will appear. Locate the “Clean the Print Cartridge” option under “Device Services and click on it. Subsequently, clicking "Clean the Print Cartridge" opens a new dialog box. Afterward, follow the instructions that appear on your screen. HP PRINTER IS PRINTING BLACK LINES
