The First Day of Middle School
  • Arrival – greeted by faculty hall monitors throughout the building who will direct students to correct hallways and appropriate homeroom.
  • Homeroom – Extended homeroom first three days for all students.
  • Abbreviated schedule – students will follow their individual schedules on a shortened basis for the remainder of the school day.
  • Passing between classes – West uses a “bell-less” system. Students will be directed to their next classroom location by the teacher of the class they are leaving. Classroom locations will be in close proximity to each other allowing students ample time to reach their next classroom. There will be designated times during each school day for the students to access their hall lockers.
