Gravity • Gravity is the force that pulls bodies towards other bodies or objects. • Earth’s gravity pulls you towards Earth at the same time the Sun’s gravity pulls Earth towards it. • We don’t go flying towards the Sun because Earth’s pull is stronger. • Earth wants to float off into space but the sun will not let it.
The Sun and Solar System • The solar system is made up of the Sun, eight planets, and other smaller bodies that orbit the Sun.
