Roles and Goals II My Pledge • Increase overall Region leadership presence and improve access • Support the programs of our Sections and Chapters by identifying, sharing, and implementing our best practices throughout the Region • Develop stronger ties with industry and government by increasing awareness of our constituency, our concerns, and our capabilities • Nurture future IEEE leaders by focusing support to student branch, GOLD, and PACE activities • Recognize and reward the efforts and accomplishments of our members

Intervention • Local Volunteer Leaders • identify issues early • communicate issues and concerns often • IEEE staff • advise the Section, the Region Director, (when appropriate) the Society President and RAB that the units have failed to meet minimum requirements. • Volunteer leaders • investigate • try to bring units into compliance with minimum requirements.

  10. Rejuvenation • Improve activation • Recognize and use available tools • Develop and share best practices • Personally invite participation

  11. Rejuvenation II • Strengthen leaders • Create positions to support needs • Establish representative cadre • Train new and potential officers • Plan succession • Visit often

  12. Rejuvenation III • Make meetings convenient & sustainable • Identify your target audience • Find a good location • Use it on a regular schedule • Enlist aid of industry partners • Enlist aid of IEEE partners

  13. Rejuvenation IV • Make meetings meaningful • Share ideas and information • Broaden involvement (GOLD, affiliates) • Adapt and adopt technology • Increase jointness • Visit often
