Varicose Veins Treatment • Varicose veins, also referred to as spider veins, are found in people of all ages and they occur on legs or lower limbs. • Varicose veins appear on the vein valves that allow blood flow in the opposite direction or the vein valves that do not function properly. • As a result, these veins occur as unsightly on legs and are largely harmless. However, sometimes, they may be extremely painful, and uncomfortable, too.

How is it done ? • Varicose vein surgery may be performed for cosmetic and health-related reasons.  The Prague Medical Institute (PMI) provides varicose vein treatments to relieve complications and pain, as well as to cosmetically improve the appearance of blood vessels on legs. • Sclerotherapy: This is a non-surgical procedure that is mainly performed on small veins under local anaesthesia. In this procedure, a special foam is introduced into varicose veins using a fine needle. This insertion takes place under the guidance of ultrasound equipment. • Endovenous laser treatment (EVLT): This is one of the popular and minimally invasive types of surgery, which is usually performed under general or local anaesthesia. During the surgery, a small cut is made on the vein, a thin tube is passed through it, and laser energy is directed through this tube to close or burn varicose veins • VenaSealVein Glue: This is the most advanced treatment for spider vein removal. This treatment makes use of medical glue, also known as VenaSeal (cyanoacrylate) for sealing the affected vein
