  1. RFID READERS Revolutionizing Asset Tracking and Management

  2. 1 WHAT IS RFID (RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION)? RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a technology that uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects. HOW IT WORKS? RFID systems consist of a tag, which contains a microchip and antenna, and a reader that emits radio waves. When the tag comes within range of the reader, it transmits data stored on the microchip to the reader, which then processes the information. POXO RFID AND TECHNOLOGIES

  4. 4 RFID TAGS UHF RFID TAGS RFID tags are small devices used in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems to store and transmit data to RFID readers. These tags are key components in RFID technology, enabling the identification and tracking of objects. Operate in the Ultra-High Frequency range, typically between 860 MHz to 960 MHz. UHF RFID tags can be read from distances ranging from a few meters up to 15 meters or more, depending on the reader and environment. UHF tags can be read quickly and can handle multiple tags being scanned simultaneously (bulk reading). Typically offer moderate to high data storage capacity, suitable for various types of information. POXO RFID AND TECHNOLOGIES Types of RFID tags- Passive Tags: No Internal Power Source: Passive tags do not have their own power supply. Instead, they are powered by the electromagnetic energy transmitted from the RFID reader. Shorter Range: Typically have a shorter read range (up to a few meters). Common Uses: Inventory management, retail, access control. LF RFID TAGS Active Tags: Battery-Powered: Active tags have their own power source (battery), allowing them to transmit signals autonomously. Longer Range: Can communicate with readers over greater distances (up to hundreds of meters). Common Uses: Asset tracking, toll collection, vehicle tracking. Operate in the Low Frequency range, typically between 30 kHz to 300 kHz (commonly around 125 kHz or 134.2 kHz) Shorter Range: LF RFID tags generally have a read range of a few centimeters to about half a meter. Slower Data Transfer: Data transfer rates are lower compared to UHF tags, and they typically handle one tag at a time. Offer lower data storage capacity, usually sufficient for basic identification purposes. Semi-Passive Tags: Battery-Assisted: These tags have a battery that powers the microchip but rely on the reader’s energy to communicate. Moderate Range: Offer a balance between passive and active tags. Common Uses: Environmental monitoring, logistics.

  5. 5 APPLICATIONS OF RFID RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology has a wide range of applications across various industries. Here are some key areas where RFID is commonly used: 1. Retail Inventory Management: RFID tags are attached to products to enable real-time tracking of inventory levels, reducing stockouts and overstock situations. Streamlines the process of restocking shelves and conducting inventory audits. 2. Healthcare Equipment Tracking: POXO RFID AND TECHNOLOGIES RFID helps in managing medical equipment, ensuring that critical devices are always available and maintained properly. Reduces loss and theft of expensive medical tools.

  6. 6 Libraries and Education Library Management: RFID tags are attached to books and other materials to automate check-in and check-out processes, improving efficiency and reducing theft. Student Identification: RFID cards are used in schools and universities for student identification, attendance tracking, and access to facilities. Supply Chain and Logistics Shipment Tracking: RFID tags are used to monitor the movement of goods from manufacturing to distribution centers and finally to retail outlets. Provides visibility into the entire supply chain, reducing delays and improving efficiency. Warehouse Management: Automates the tracking of goods within warehouses, helping to locate items quickly and accurately. Reduces labor costs and minimizes human error. POXO RFID AND TECHNOLOGIES
