  1. Power Generation and development of Infrastructure in India Any kind of problem or any natural calamities can leave a property for without power for hours, days or weeks on end. For most of the industries access to electricity is a standard, and for some it’s an absolute must-have. Even on a personal level, for the average modern consumer a lack of power can be a great inconvenience.

  2. Power is one of the most critical components of infrastructure crucial for the economic growth and welfare of nations. The existence and development of sufficient infrastructure is essential for sustained growth of the Indian economy. India’s power sector is one of the most diversified in the world. India’s power generation news can be seen in various magazines that publish information related to import, export and consumption of power in India.

  3. In India Electric power is generated through conventional sources as well as non-conventional sources. Coal, lignite, natural gas, oil, hydro and nuclear power are few examples of conventional sources and non-conventional sources such as wind, solar, and agricultural and domestic waste are few examples of non-conventional sources.

  4. The demand of electricity has rapidly increased in the country and is expected to rise further in the years to come. Thus, in order to meet the increasing demand for electricity in the country, massive addition to the installed generating capacity is required. Oil and Gas Industry in India The oil and gas industry is the major core industries in India. This industry is the major factor for the growth being witnessed in the Indian economy today. The natural gas and petroleum sector, which is inclusive of refining, transportation, and marketing of these products, contributes about 15% to India's GDP.

  5. Exports from petroleum are the highest in terms of the foreign currency amassed and accounts for 17% of the total exports. As this is an ever growing sector, investment in oil and gas industry promises a great deal.
