There are so many things that factor in to finding the best neighborhood for you. So when go on your new home hunt keep these things in mind. This is especially hard to do if you are new to the area and are not familiar with the state or city you are planning to move to.
Job: I am not sure if you are moving because of a new Job or maybe you lost a Job, but when you are in search of that perfect home, keep in mind that you have to travel to you job. Future or current a typical drive time is from 20-45 min to most.
Children: If you have children then you need to research the best school best for your child. Now the way public schools assign kids are by the address they live in. I would research the school district your child would be assigned to and what the school national score is. Also if the home you plan to move to have any parks near it.
Crime rate: This is a big one for me. Not only is it important for you but it also factors in the cost of the home for when you want to put it back on the market. There are several website you can utilize for researching the crime rate for the neighborhood you want to move to.
Shopping: A girl’s best friend! This places a big role as well. Think of this situation... You need milk but have to drive 10 miles for that one gallon of milk. Living near a shopping center is always a good thing.
