  1. Sensational Fudge!

  2. The sherbet bombs he bought at the shop last week were delicious. He wanted more, except the shop had sold the remainder to him. What a disaster!

  3. He considered buying chocolate éclairs, but his face betrayed his feelings.

  4. “They are our last sherbet bombs”, the lady behind the counter informed him. He shifted his position to look at the long row of sweets in jars, peering curiously at a new jar of sweets which he hadn’t previously seen .

  5. He to tried to pretend that he didn’t care. By his own admission, he thought he was addicted to sweets.

  6. After a hard day at work, they were exactly what he needed.

  7. As a teenager, he had delivered newspapers for the previous shop owners. Now he felt an uneasy distrust towards the new owners. He could not connect with them.

  8. His decision was made! It would be the soft fudge! The shop owner transferred the sweets, their new destination being a paper bag.

  9. What a brilliant invention, the paper bag, he thought, as he grasped the bag in his hand.
