  1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? Lucy Head

  2. Mac Computers. This is the first time I have used a Mac properly. I found the software easy to use. I think using Macs would be the best way to make a magazine as they have so many tools, such as pages, keynotes, Photoshop and the internet. Providing everything you need to make a magazine, in one place.

  3. Photoshop Although I had used Photoshop at GCSE, I still had to learn how to use more tools and had to practice to make my photo editing better and cleaner. Although Photoshop helps make photos better, I also saw how magazine companies can manipulate images to create false images of people such as models and celebrities. So this software is helpful but can also be dangerous If its not used correctly or sensibly.

  4. Cameras I had to take all the images myself for this project, so using a camera was key. Luckily I had a good camera so my photos would be of goof quality. I learnt how to use the rule of thirds whilst taking pictures, and when constructing my magazine. I also had to adjust to taking pictures at gigs, as this is where I took a lot of my photographs. I learnt that the images used in a magazine have to be good as otherwise the quality of the magazine as a whole will be affected.

  5. WordPress Although wordpress did not help me in the construction of my magazine, it allowed me to get any previous work and ideas. I used this every time I was making my magazine, in order to check what conventions I could use to keep the audience happy and what types of articles they wanted. I also used word press to track my progress and reflect on each lessons work. This has let me keep up to date with what work I have done and what work I had left to do. Wordpress allowed me to organise my work and present it properly.

  6. Conclusion I have learnt how photo manipulation can improve photos, and give magazines a professional look as each layer can be built upon and improved. I have learnt how to take a photograph properly, and how to use different functions on my camera. I have learnt how to use a Mac, and how much easier it is to have all your work saved in one place that has easy access. All of these technologies helped me to build and construct my magazine.
