The variation of environmental factors of different elevations among sampling dates.The daily mean of temperature (a), ultraviolet-B (UV-B) level (b), and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) (c) at 300 and 1700 m above sea level from July to September 2012 in Mt. Zao. Values represent the mean ± SE. Significance was tested with two-way ANOVA for each day in which altitude and time were the explanatory variables. Asterisks represent significant altitudinal effect (** P < 0.01; * P < 0.05).
