  2. #1) True: • Ex: Rocket: Action force = gases escaping out of back end of rocket • Reaction force = gases exert a force on rocket causing the launch • Ex: trampoline: Action force = feet pushing down • Reaction force = trampoline pushing up causing you to fly in air

  3. Ex: bird flying: Action force = wings pushing on air Reaction force = air pushes back on the wings

  4. #2) False: Both forces are equal, the fly died because it had a smaller mass.

  6. #4) False: All action-reaction forces have to be equal and act on different objects! • Ex: Swimmer: action force = arms push on water reaction force = water pushes on her • Force on water and force on body! Unbalanced force on her causes her to move!
