  9. “A Typical Day” • Check back tablesfor any handouts • Pick up any TABLE BOXES • Begin Science Starters within30 seconds • Copy HWand important dates in planner - HW and important info may include: readings, worksheets, lecture, test/quizzes, discussion, individual/group projects and activities, video, and labs. • Planner checked at the end of every week for HW/important dates for points

  10. Before you leave you will not be excused until you… • Return Table Boxes back to middle tables. • Pick up any trash around the table • Line up tables to outlines on the ground • Seated quietly

Homework • Homework may be assigned at the end of the day or may be completion of class activity • Due at the beginningof the period. • Late work is accepted but will receive up to ½ credit • Late work accepted from 1 to 5 days depending on the day • Late work collected at the end of each week (normally Friday) in purple folder of THIS WEEK IN SCIENCE…

  12. Absent Work • Same rules apply from LATE work but… you must write in RED PEN “ABSENT”at the top with the date you were absent. • If directions ignored, assignment will be considered late and receive ½ credit Mr. Vu 9/10/15 Period 1 ABSENT 9/8

  13. Homework • Homework may be assigned at the end of the day or may be completion of class activity • Due at the beginning of the period • NEVER THROW ANYTHING AWAY • Late work is accepted but will receive ½ credit. • You have only 1 week to turn in late work.

  14. The Bell • 1st ring- quiet down/tell any talking neighbors to do the same • 2nd ring- shush your neighbor • 3rd ring- feel my wrath

  16. Tests and Grading • Expect a quiz every FRIDAY • Tests are given at the end of each chapter • Grades are posted by school I.D. number in the classroom and on AERIES. • Grades are updated within 2 weeks of receiving an assignment
