  4. The Skill of PANning • Like a movie camera “pans” to see whole picture • We should PAN all around us and inside us • Goal is to increase our ability to notice patterns and experiences of self and others

  5. PANning Guidelines* • Pay • Attention • Now • Intentionally observe and notice behaviors, comments, feelings, patterns of treatment • Wonder: Is this an isolated incident or a possible pattern of experience?

  7. Let’s Put PANning to Use • No talking • Three Groups • Walk around the outside of this building • Walk inside this building to the other end • Stay in Lynch and look at photographs • Come back and write down what you PANned
