  1. Extreme Classrooms English trip to the Avebury stones

  2. The Journey By James Ballard I walked down a chalky path It was like walking on the moon But then – splish, splash, splosh! It was raining. It came down hard, like a machine gun. I dived for the trees, they were covered with ribbons Where people made their wishes. Then I saw ……. Stones Surrounding me…. Drawing me close I was a prisoner. Caught in their magic.

  3. Ancient Aveburyby Ewan Parrott Among the rolling English landscape, The stones lay waiting For the touch of man to awaken Their coldness inside. Their jagged shape speaks of the old Settlement waiting to attack. The atmosphere is calming, strangely mysterious. The visitor senses a story untold Waiting to be discovered. Skeleton bones and arrow heads lying Before the crumbly, chalk path Until man comes back And discovers their eerie presence.

  4. An English trip by Lewis Andrews Vehicles from around the world Evidence of its power Body of a boy Under the rocks, dumped like a pile of rags Remains of animals and humans alike You’re next…

  5. Ancient Aveburyby Henry Baugh Who put them here? They stand proud and tall. A testimony to man’s ingenuity And brilliance rising craggily Out of the floor. Sheep gently grazing like clouds moving quietly Across this ancient settlement.

  6. Avebury by Ross Vugts Ancient people, Variety of cultures. Evolution of the early British Burial site of Kings. Underground treasures, Rocks mark the sacred site. Yellow sunrise on the midsummer morning… Spirits of the dead are touching me.
