Subject Pronouns What does the subject of the sentence do? Identify who/what is doing the action.
Pronouns!!!! - A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun. (Hint: every name has a pronoun)
Names are often used as the subject of a sentence. Ana es Baja. Ana esbonita. Ana is short. Ana is pretty. Gregorio y María escuchanmúsica. Gregory and María listen to music. To avoid repetition, what can we replace names with in a sentence?
What are the subject pronouns in English? 1. I 4. Us (we) 2. You (inf.) 5. You and you 3. You (form.) 6. They (boys, mixed, or Girls) He/She/ItYou all = y’all
Tú, Usted, Vosotros(as), and Ustedes all mean “you” *Vosotros(as) is mainly used in Spain*
Tú, Usted, Vosotros(as), and Ustedes all mean “you” -Use Tú with family, friends, people your age or younger and anyone you call by first name. -Use Ud. With adults you address with a title, such as señor, señora, etc. usually written Ud. -In Latin America use ustedes when speaking to or about two or more people regardless of age. Usually written Uds. -In Spain use vosotros when speaking directly to two or more people.
