  1. All You Need To Know Before Going Shipwreck Diving Are you planning your visit to vibrant and colorful Cyprus? Do not miss the wonderful shipwreck diving opportunities your go-to destination has to offer. One of the most prominent shipwreck diving spots you will find is in Larnaca. Here you will be able to explore the wonderful world and the magical landscapes under the surface of the ocean. Explore the mysteries hidden deep down in the belly of the sunken world-famous MS Zenobia. Since 1980, the bottom of the ocean is the permanent home of this Roll Roll-off vessel which sank due to problems with her ballast tanks. The lady of the ocean was the pride of Swedish boat builders, but it was merely her second voyage that ended in such a devastating manner. MS Zenobia was on her way to Syria with her belly loaded with 104 lorries loaded with goods such as eggs and meats when she went down. Today, more than four decades later, these goods are still littered across the bottom of the ocean, having divers often mesmerized by the carcasses eerily scattered around the wreckage. As this is not the only wreck the coastline has to offer, Larnaca is home to several diving companies, of which one stands out for delivering the most interesting packages and premium service delivery, Pissouri Bay Divers. Their crew is adamant that no visit to Cyprus is complete without immersing yourself in the mysterious world of shipwreck diving. Thus, they are always sharing advice and tips on how to make the best of your adventure while having their guidance by your side. Be prepared for such a trip. Sometimes these wrecks lie quite deep on the ocean floor and the group instructor will not allow you to go to a depth you are not physically comfortable with to enter. It might therefore be very helpful to get your advanced open water certificate before going or while you might already have sufficient experience, take along your logbook indicating that you are familiar with these kinds of dives. Make sure to listen to the briefing of the dive and listen well to be sure you know what to expect underneath the surface, the conditions of the wreck, and where the starting point and the end of the dive is. As these boats are large, the diving area to cover can be huge and you do not want to get lost. While you are there, take the time to explore the wreck. These vessels have many hidden secrets and the epiphany of adventure is to be able to look closely at all the little creatures who simply moved into the wreckage and made the man-made object a part of their habitat. Gear up with suitable camera equipment to capture your adventure. It is wonderful to share what you have seen below the surface with those not daring enough to venture into the belly of the ocean. Learn and capture the stories waiting for someone to share them with the world. A wide-

  2. angle lens is perfect to capture the entire wreck and remember you will never be able to capture clear images without a good quality strobe to provide you with all the light you need. Always put safety first. Your available air supply and your no-decompression limit are the two key factors determining the length of your dive. Manage both carefully and follow the one-third rule. Once you have used one-third of your decompression limit or your air limit, regardless of which comes first, you need to ascent. One third is to return to your exit point and another third for any possible delays which might occur. The most important guideline they have to offer though is to make the most of your adventure and do not miss some of the best scenery Larnaca has to offer.
