  1. Be The Match Community Tutorial • Welcome • This tutorial will help you get the most out of your experience. We’ve created this community to help you connect. Help you learn. Help you share. Help us unite the community of transplant patients and survivors • Benefits of Joining: • Be Connected – Connect with others who have just been diagnosed, are preparing for transplant, or have received a transplant. • Be Informed – Patients and transplant professionals share their perspectives. Find relevant resources that can help you along the way. • Be Inspired – Share what inspires you.

  2. Join Now Create Your Account Creating your account is fast and easy. Simply click the Create New Account link and answer a few questions to get started.

  3. Be Connected: About You Edit Your Profile Use the My Profile link under Be Connected to provide more information about yourself and to upload your profile picture. My Status – Your status is whatever you’d like to publicly say about how you’re feeling. You can update your status as often as you’d like and include links or pictures that you’d like to share. My Community Dashboard – As you begin to interact with the community and make friends, discussion updates and your friend’s status will appear here.

  4. Be Connected: Connecting with Others Connecting Only registered community users are able to find and connect with friends and participate in community discussions. Discussions – You can participate in existing discussions or start discussions on topics that are on your mind. Find Friends – Use the Find Friends link to see a list of recently registered friends or to search the community.

  5. Be Connected: Just for You Personal Journal My Journal is a private place for you to track your physical and emotional well being. After you create a journal entry, you’ll see a list of related Community resources that can help. Your Journal entries are private and will not be shared with other Community users. Your Journal entries may be a useful tool in sharing both your emotional and physical journey with your doctors and medical professionals.

  6. Be Informed Get Answers When you have questions about transplant, come here for answers. Use the topics along the left side as your guide. Videos – Feature real patients and medical professionals who explore various topics that can help you find the answers you need. Connect with other patients through the discussion boards located under the videos. More Info & Resources – A mix of links, guides, apps and tools from Be The Match and leading transplant and health organizations. Look for the phone icon to text yourself a link to key resources.

  7. Be Inspired: Life After Transplant Get Inspired Watch five transplant patients share their remarkable stories with you. Inspire Others – Use the Wall of Inspiration to tell others what Life After Transplant means to you. Your words and stories could make the difference for someone else who is considering, preparing or past transplant.
