What does the research say? • Text Rendering Experience protocol • Read “Coaches as System Leaders,” by Michael Fullan & Jim Knight, Educational Leadership, October 2011. • Mark the sentence, the phrase, and the word(s) that you think are particularly significant. • Report out the sentence, phrase, and word. • Script the phrase and word. • Group discussion/debrief • What new insights have you gained from the text? • What strikes you as positive and encouraging? • How was this protocol effective for gleaning understanding of the research on coaching?
