CLASS OF 2014 GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS • English4 credits: with major concentration in composition, reading for information, and literature • Mathematics 4 credits: one of which must be Algebra I or its equivalent, and one must be Geometry or a higher-level mathematics course from courses that qualify for state university • Science 3 credits in Science: two of which must have a laboratory component • Social Studies : 1 credit World History , 1 credit American History, .5 credit American Government, .5 credit Economics • Foreign Language: Not required for high school graduation, but required for admission into state universities; must be 2 years if same language • Fine Arts or Performing Arts, Speech, Debate, or Practical Arts: 1 credit in Fine or Performing Arts, Speech and Debate, or Practical Arts (eligible courses specified in Course Code Directory) • Physical Education: 1 credit in Physical Education to include the integration of Health (HOPE) • Total 24 credits • State Assessment Requirements: Passing scores on the Grade 10 FCAT or scores on a standardized test that is concordant with passing scores on the FCAT (ACT: 18 reading; 15 math or SAT 420 reading; 340 math ) • Grade Point Average (GPA) Cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale

STATE UNIVERSITY SYSTEM of FLORIDA • MINIMUM GRADE POINT AVERAGE REQUIREMENTS Students applying to the State University System in summer 2013 or later may be considered for admission based on the following criteria: • Student has a high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale as calculated by the university • SUS GPA IS NOT GHS GPA! SUS GPA recomputed on academic courses only.

MINIMUM STANDARDIZED TEST SCORES • In addition to achieving the minimum GPA, a student must achieve the minimum scores for each SAT Reasoning Test or ACT section as outlined below: • SAT –Critical Reading >= 440 or ACT –Reading >= 18 • SAT –Mathematics >= 440 or ACT –Mathematics >= 19 • SAT –Writing >= 440 or ACT –English/Writing >=17
