Mr. Schwarz Forensic Science NYS Science Standard 4 Lesson Objectives: SWBAT- To create crossword puzzles to develop problem solving skills & use crossword puzzles to clarify our knowledge of Forensic Science

  2. Getting Started- complete the following crossword puzzle. • Forensic Science Laboratory Units

  3. Write some clues for this incomplete crossword puzzle on Time of Death Across 5. Down 1. 2. 3. 4.

  4. DESCRIPTION OF GROUP TASK The task objective is to create a Forensic Science Crossword Puzzle. This task will be completed in steps which include the following; • With your group members, pick 15 vocabulary terms associated with Forensic Science we have studied this year • Designate tasks for each group member- 2 members will create the crossword puzzle on graph paper using the terms and 2 members will write the sentence clues • Create a finalized crossword puzzle by putting together the above tasks.

  5. Step 1- Create a vocabulary list • confessions, testimony, physical evidence, DNA, fingerprints, serial killers, modus operandi, chain of custody, sketches, warrants, felony, misdemeanor, systematic searches, Jack the Ripper, detectives

  6. Step 2- Create the crossword puzzle using the terms
