  2. 有图有真相 * 非艺术品图像或人物图像 * 图中有信息, 听力中有信号词引导学生看图 eg: Here’s an image of ... . eg: Letme show you a diagram. * 结合图片和音频信息理解内容 * 笔记争取多加入图形符号表述图片内容

  3. 有图有真相 TPO5L2

  4. 有图有真相 What does the professor imply about the spacecraft Clementine? A. It sent back the first color photographs of the Moon B. It was powered by solar energy C. It landed in the far side of the Moon D. It flew over the Moon’s polar regions

  5. 有图有真相 Here is an image of…we’ll call it the SPA Basin. This color-coated image of the SPA Basin, those aren’t its actual colors obviously, this image is from the mid 90s, from the American spacecraft called Clementine. Um… unlike earlier lunar missions, Clementine didn’t orbit only around the moon’s equator. Its orbits enable it to send back data to create this topographical map of … well, the grey and white area towards the bottom is the South Pole, the purples and blues in the middle correspond to low elevations - the SPA Basin itself, the oranges and reds around it are higher elevations.

  7. 有图有真相 The professor mentions parts of the process involved in the formation of LechugillaCave. Indicate which of the statements below describe part of the process. ( Yes /No) A. Residue accumulated to form decorative structures B. Gas generated by bacteria reacted with gypsum deposits C. Hydrogen sulfide gas mixed with underground water D. Acid dissolved parts of the limestone E. Bacteria fed on underground oil F. Flowing surface water enlarged the cracks in the limestone

  8. 有图有真相 Here let me draw a diagram. Part of the limestone rock layer is permeated by water from below. Those curly lines are supposed to be cracks in the rock. Below the water table and rock is oil. Bacteria feed on this oil and release hydrogen sulfide gas. This gas is hydrogen sulfide, rises up and mixes with oxygen in the underground water that sits in the cracks and fissures in the limestone. And when hydrogen sulfide reacts with the oxygen in the water, the result of that is sulfuric acid, Ok? Sulfuric acid eats away at limestone very aggressively. So you get bigger cracks and then passageway is being formed along the openings in the rock and it’s all underground.

  9. 前否后肯 句子主结构几乎一样, 听起来几乎无差 两句话之间没有连接词 可考虑是前否后肯句组合 重头内容在于后肯(先抑后扬)

  10. 前否后肯 TPO18L3

  11. 前否后肯 What does the professor say about European explorers during the age of discovery? A. Their discoveries caused the price of certain spices to increase. B. They were responding to the demand for spices. C. They did not expect to find spices during their explorations. D. Their main goal was to discover unknown lands.

  12. 前否后肯 When famous explorers like Columbus and da Gama and Magellan left Europe in their ships, they weren’t looking for a new world.; they were looking for spices.

  13. 前否后肯 TPO16L3

  14. 前否后肯 It’s been shaped by constraints over vast stretches of time, all of which comes down to the fact that the best foraging strategy for beavers isn’tthe one that yields the most food or wood. It’s the one that results in the most descendants, the most offspring.

  15. 流程 *听信号词 eg: What happens is that ... . eg: What you (should) do is ... . *根据起信息列举作用的词为笔记分层 eg: 序数词/ and/ then/ and then/ besides/ after that, etc. *每层内容抓核心词/句子主干内容

  16. 流程 TPO1L2

  17. 流程 In the talk, the professor describes the sequence of uranium-lead dating. Summarize the sequence by putting the events in the correct order. A.Zirconin the sandstone is matched to the zircon in a particular mountain range. B. The amount of lead in sandstone zircon is measured C. The age of zircon in a sandstone sample is determined

  18. 流程 What they did was: they looked at the grainsof Zircon in the sandstone. Zircon is a material that contains radioactive Uranium, which makes it very useful for dating purposes. Zircon starts off as molten magma, the hot larva from volcanoes. This magma then crystallizes. And when Zircon crystallizes, the Uranium inside it begins to change into Lead. So if you measure the amount of Lead in the Zircon grain, you can figure out when the grain was formed. After that, you can determine the ageof Zircon from different mountain ranges. Once you do that, you can compare the age of the Zircon in the sandstone in your sample to the age of the Zircon in the mountains. If the age of the Zircon matches the age of one of the mountain ranges, then it means the sandstone actually used to be part of that particular mountain range.

  19. 流程 TPO7L4

  20. 流程 The professor discusses the process of basal slip. Put the steps in the correct order. A. Friction between the glacier and bedrock is reduced. B. A liquid layer forms at the base of the glacier. C. The glacier begins to slide D Pressure is increased on the ice

  21. 流程 What happens is that the ice of the base of the glacier is under a great deal of pressure— the pressurecoming from the weight of the overlaying ice. And you probably know that under pressure, the melting temperature of water, uh ... of the ice I mean, is reduced. So, ice at the basis of the glacier melts, even though it’s below zero degree Celsius. And this results in a thin layer of waterbetween the glacier and the ground. This layer of water reduces friction. It’s ... it’s like a lubricant. And it allows the glacier to slide or slip over the bedrock.

  22. 举例子 * 注意提示例子的信号词 eg: for example/ for instance/ like/ such as/ say!, etc. * 注意内容的松紧变化

  23. 举例子 TPO17L2

  24. 举例子 Why does the professor compare Earth's movements to a watch? A. To clarify a common misunderstanding B. To show in what way Earth is similar to a watch C. To emphasize the regularity of Earth s movements D. To connect the concepts of orbits and time

  25. 举例子 Ok, a lot of people think of earth’s orbit around the sun as being perfectly circular, as smooth and as regular as, say, the way that hands move on a well -made watch, but it just doesn’t work that way.

  26. 举例子 TPO15L1

  27. 举例子 Why does the professor mention a highway? A. To compare two experiments designed to study distraction B. To give an example of when area V5 might be activated C. To describe a limitation in the brain’s processing capacity D. To make a point about the effect of distractions on driving

  28. 举例子 What is the professor's opinion of Lavie's work? A. She thinks it resolves most of the major questions about distraction B. She feels it is of limited use because of flaws in the study designs C. She believes it has changed the direction of research on distraction D. She thinks its findings can be applied only to visual distraction

  29. 举例子 Lavie thinks the solution lies in the brain’s ability to accept or ignore visual information. She thinks its capacity is limited. It’s like a highway. When there are too many cars, traffic is stopped. No one can get on. So when the brain is loaded to capacity, no new distractions can be perceived . Now that may be the correct conclusion for visual distractions, but more research is needed to tell us how the brain deals with, say, the distractions of solving a math problem when we are hungry or when someone is singing in the next room.

  32. 细节对比 According to the professor what is true about the hero in chanson poetry and the in romance poetry? Chanson Hero; Romance Hero A.Is admired for loyalty to country B.Engages in conflict for adventure C.Is willing to fact extreme dangers to protect the lord D.Is concerned with individual improvement

  33. 细节对比 And the hero in the romance poems was also in knight. Butwhat made the knight in Romance Poetry different from the knight in Chanson poetry? Well, first the purpose of the hero’s actions was different. The hero in the Romance Poetry is independent, purely solitary in a way, not like the Chanson poet who was always surrounded by his fighting companions. He doesn’t engage in conflict to protect his lord or country. He does it for the sake of adventure, to improve himself, to show his worthy of respect and love for his lady.

  34. 细节对比 He’s very conscious of the particular rules of social behavior he has to live up to somehow. And all of those actions are for the purpose of proving that he is an upright moral, well-mannered, well-behaved individual. You may have noticed that in Chanson’s poetry there isn’t much about the hero’s feelings. The focus is on the actions, the deeds. But the Romance Poetry describes a lot of the inner feelings, the motivations, psychology you could say, of aknight trying to improve himself, to better himself, so he’s worthy the love of a woman.

  36. 细节对比 What were two characteristics of Isadora Duncan's dance performances? Click on 2 answers A. She danced to contemporary musical compositions B. She wore free-flowing costumes C. She used set designs inspired by nature. D. She danced without shoes.

  37. 细节对比 Isadora Duncan did study ballet briefly as a child, but she quickly developed her own unique style, which she called free dance. And by age fourteen, she was teaching her free dance to young children and giving recitals. Her early dance technique was loosely based on the natural movements of children, running, skipping, acting out stories, also on motions from nature, waves crashing onto shore, trees swaying in the wind.

  38. 细节对比 Her expressive gestures were motivated from within rather than being dictated by strict technique. Duncan also wore her hair down, ballerinas typically wear their hair in a tight bun behind the head. And instead of the short steep skirts and rigid toe shoes worn by ballerinas, Duncan wore loose, flowing tunics, and she danced bare foot. Now, that was something her audiences had never seen before.
