  1. Name of the Play Trader Name TICKER Date of Trade (Month DD, YYYY)

  2. Big Picture • Example: SPY gaps up, trades down and then reverses, this not a market play, but the market rallies into the close making this trade work.

  3. Intraday Fundamentals • Example: TGI came up on the radar, no news, but gapped down and then did 200x it’s avg daily volume in the premarket, which got my attention.

  4. Technical Analysis

  5. Reading the Tape • Fill in the details. Anything clear patterns from the tape? Develop the habit of spotting patterns from just the tape that you can trade off of going forward. For example, there was a strongly held bid above a technical resistance level and then the stock was very clean. * Include tape of the play, cut the tape for the most important parts of the trade to be most efficient for the viewer*

  6. Trade Managment • Mark up the chart of the trade intraday: • Entry • Stop • Exit • Where would you add size? • Where was your initial stop? Did you adjust your stop as the play developed? If so, why did you adjust your stop? • Where did you take profits? How do you pick your profit targets?

  7. Trade Review • What did you learn from this trade? How could you have done better? How would you trade this differently for the next trade?
