In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users. Meta Tags/Descriptions • What are you telling the people searching for you in the search results? • Although not a major factor in your overall rankings by the search engines, it plays a part in getting potential customers to click on your link vs. the competitor.
