  1. Why Cramping and How to Treat It With Physiotherapy We Have Muscle So many people suffer from muscle cramps. There are a few different types of cramps and for some people they are not really a big problem, while for other people it can be a huge pain. Cramps can be caused by over exertion, sickness, or temporary body injuries, but sometimes it can be very serious. The cramps can range from being barely noticeable to experiencing pain so bad that you can barely get out of bed. There are a few things that you can do to help get rid of your cramps and here are some of them. The first thing that you need to do is to get an assessment from your doctor. He or she will be able to tell you more about what is causing your muscle cramps and what can be done to relieve your pain. Once your doctor has diagnosed your muscle cramps, he or she may prescribe a painkiller for you to take or a prescription for something that helps you relax and get better. This is helpful because you want to avoid getting worse if you can. If you are unable to get your doctor to give you a prescription then you can try buying over the counter medications or anti-inflammatory drugs. These won't permanently get rid of your cramps but they will help for now. If these don't work either then you will need to see your physiotherapist. She will be able to assess your cramps and determine the best way to treat it with physiotherapy.
