  2. Learning Intention To understand that gravity is the force responsible for pulling everything towards the centre of the Earth.

  3. What is Gravity? Gravity is the force that pulls everything to the centre of the Earth. We can show the force of gravity with an arrow pointing down.

  4. The force arrow is showing that gravity is pulling the ball down towards the centre of the Earth.

  5. Discuss: What would happen if there was no gravity on Earth?

  6. Creative Thinking Imagine your school has no gravity. Draw a picture of what that would look like.

  7. Creative Thinking Imagine you are an astronaut, on your first mission to space. Draw a picture of what you would expect to happen there, with no gravity.

  8. Beat Gravity Game 1. form a circle with 4-5 people. 2. blow up a balloon. 3. tap the balloon with your hands. 4. your feet are not allowed to move. 5. if the balloon hits the ground, you are out. Start again.
