  3. General Expectations • Get familiar with and ask questions about your curriculum and course requirements • Get familiar with Institute and course policies, especially those regarding hacking and dishonesty • Take your studies seriously • Stay organized, focussed, and manage your time wisely

  4. In-Class • Attend all classes and arrive on time • If you have any questions, please ask • Don’t do anything to distract the other students or the instructor • Participate, especially during the beginning and end of the class period • Take careful, accurate and detailed notes • Calculators, PDAs, Walkmans and Electronic Dictionaries will not be allowed during our Assessments

Out-of-Class • Download lecture notes before class • Do required readings, CBTs, etc. before class • Keep up with the lab and homework assignments • A rule of thumb is 1.5 to 3 outside hours for every hour in class • Begin work early on paper/presentation • Email if you will not be able to attend class • Email or request an office appointment if you have any serious concerns • Be courteous and respectful to others who will using the labs • Work with other students in studying material or doing labs (but hand in your own work)
