  2. education in Poland starts at the age of six from the mandatory "0" reception class (Polishzerówka or klasa 0. At the age of seven kids start the 1st grade of primary school (Polishszkoła podstawowa) and up to grade 8 finished with an exam like a “mini matura”. Afterwards, pupils have a choice, will they get to: • Secondary school • technical college • vocational school

  4. Education in secondary school with the new law continues 4 years, and for technical college or vocational school is 5 years.

  6. The Secondary School - is a typical for pupils which think only about being wellprepared to the final exam before studies (Alevels). After the second year the pupils have to extend subjects like a history,Polish or many other in advanced level.

  7. technical college - it’s for pupils who think about a good job after their studies. At the final the students have also Alevel, but it’s not necessary. The first year is similar to the Secondary School, but in the second is not same, students have a lot of practical hours where they prepare to the future job, and also they can have a chance topractice in real job.

  8. vocational school - this school, is a typical school preparing pupils for a craft job, like a car mechanic, carpenter or sometimes hairdresser and many many other jobs

Tertiary education - Poland follows the Bologna scheme and most of its tertiary level programmes are made of two cycles: a three-year bachelor's degree followed by a two-year master's degree, Some master's degrees are however granted after a unique long-cycle programme, lasting between four and six years. Doctoral programmes are achieved in about three years. The diploma of primary school teachers requires three years of study within a teacher training college.
