  2. Essential Questions pg. 42 • How did various factors lead to the outcome of the war? • How & why did America change politically, culturally, and economically as a result of the Civil War?

  3. Make Tab pg. 43 • Civil War • Put on page 61 • Add Essential Question #1 and #2 (on front board)

  4. Right Side pg. 45 • For each vocabulary word you need: Textbook Definition Your Own Definition Illustration related to vocabulary word 2. Vocabulary Words: 1. emancipate- to set free 2. secede 3. Confederate States of America 4. border states 5. conscription 6. income tax

  5. Cover Page pg. 43 • Draw a picture about what you think the Civil War Unit is going to be about based on what you saw in the video! • Remember to keep image school appropriate and historically accurate
