  4. How to get your member ID ? • On the eAttendance form page: From Home Page select “Sign eAttendance book” link. For members (802.11 blue book) For new members only (802.11 green book) Al Petrick, IceFyre, Tim Godfrey, Intersil

  5. Get member ID (2) • New member ? • Follow second link on the left for new member online registration • Existing member ? • Follow first linkon the right Al Petrick, IceFyre, Tim Godfrey, Intersil

  6. Get member ID (3) • Existing member • Enter your first and last name(Not case sensitive) • Select “Request” • Write down your member ID. Al Petrick, IceFyre, Tim Godfrey, Intersil

  8. Wireless Network Information • Both 802.11a and 802.11b networks are available • SSID (case sensitive) • IEEE • Enable DHCP in the Netcard’s TCP/IP properties • “Obtain IP Address Automatically” • No WEP is being used. Bandwidth Conservation • We have installed an HTTP Proxy server called PRIVOXY (www.privoxy.org). • It filters out web advertisements, flash animation, popups, etc. • You can click-through if you want to see something that is filtered • Please give it a try by configuring your browser for a proxy at 10.0.0.1, port 8118: • IE: Tools / Internet Options / Connections / LAN Settings • NS/Moz: Edit / Preferences / Advanced / Proxies / Manual. Windows NT/2000/XP Users • You cannot log on as yourself in your LAN domain and get access • Method 1: • Go to Passwords and Users in Control Panel and set up a new persona with access to only your computer (and set its password) • Log out and back in as the new persona • Use Find files, folders…. to find computer • Search for \\pluto or \\802-15-server • Method 2: • From command line: net use \\pluto /user:guest "" • After this network browsing, etc will work • Method 3: • Right click "My Computer", -> map network drive, at editbox Folder: \\pluto\documents and/or \\pluto\802.11 • Select "connect using different username and password. In dialog set username as guest, password is blank. Select ok, select finish on map network drive dialog. • This information is not remembered so will need to be done on each boot of the machine.   15. Connecting to Servers • Windows 98, Windows ME • Make sure you have logged into your computer with a valid name. • If your start menu says “Log Off …” you will not be able to connect. It should show “Log Off <name>” • From Windows Explorer, options are • Browse for pluto or 802-15-server in workgroup IEEE802 in your “Network Neighborhood” • Use “Find Computer” to find \\pluto or \\802-15-server • Use Tools / Map Network Drive • Map drives to \\pluto\802.11 and \\pluto\Documents Al Petrick, IceFyre, Tim Godfrey, Intersil
