  2. FEBRUARY, 2008 SPLOST BALLOT SALES TAX REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES After the ballot won voter approval in February, 2008, Pickens County began collecting sales tax revenue on July 1, 2008. A summary of activity in that account follows: Revenues Sales tax received from the State of Georgia $3,442,166.44 Department of Revenue from July 1, 2008 through July 31, 2009 (August, 2009 payment expected on August 31, 2009) Interest earned on deposits held in Community $ 14,366.31 Bank of Pickens County Account No. **929 Total $3,456,531.75 Expenses Debt service on loan secured by the Pickens County $ 487,319.22 Administration Building (this loan payout is listed as a Tier One project in the sales tax ballot) (16 payments @ $32,488 per month) Consulting fees paid to Tom Eubanks regarding $ 2,500.00 courthouse construction (this project is listed as a Tier One project in the sales tax ballot) Engineering fees paid to Mactec Engineering $ 24,411.96 for courthouse construction (this project is listed as a Tier One project in the sales tax ballot) Total $ 514,231.18 TOTAL MONEY IN COMMUNITY BANK OF $2,942,300.57 PICKENS COUNTY ACCOUNT NO. **929 AS OF AUGUST 26, 2009
