  2. You have a Need? • Local companies conduct numerous projects very year. • These projects may be delayed or never materialize due to • Lack of resources • Lack of expertise • Companies can engage in resource extension by establishing a partnership with the Barton School

  3. We have the Solution!! • A large number of classes in the Barton School of Business have an individual or group project component • Value can be created by matching requests by companies with the projects done in the classes / independent studies • The applied learning center will formalize this concept • Students will gain applied learning experience by working on these projects

  4. Logistics / Resources • Structure • Two faculty members (Director / Associate Director) • Process • Develop engagement strategy • Develop RFP forms and list of classes with project requirements • Develop delivery strategy • Sustainability • 2-3 year path towards sustainability • Partnering firms contributed an amount per year to fund the center
