COURSE OBJECTIVE • The purpose of this training course is to introduce the course participant to the various aspects of the Lecturer iEnabler system • By the end of this course participants will be able to successfully complete all tasks associated with this system, depending on their specific role within the institution

  3. MAINTAINING ASSESSMENT WEIGHTS • Purpose Each test/assignment weighs towards the full period mark of students thus it is important for this information to be correct as it may affect the students overall mark for more info regarding this please contact your respective faculty officer.

  4. Click on the maintain assessment weight link to access the assessment weight menu

  5. Click on the academic year

  6. Click on the selected subject

  7. in this block you will be able to set the weighing of each assessment as per the calculation criteria setup for the subject

  8. ENTERING TEST / FULL PERIOD MARKS • Throughout the semester you would have conducted test and assignments that will determine whether your students qualify for Exam entry, the marks obtained from these assignments and tests are captured under the ENTER TEST /FULL PERIOD MARK link in the lecturer iEnabler menu pane

  9. Click on the ENTER TEST/FULL PERIOD MARK link to access the mark entry menu

  10. Click on the desired subject

  11. Within this menu one will be able to Enter test Marks Enter Full period Marks

  12. If we choose the Enter test Marks link you will come to this page, The mark number drop down list is determined by the assessment weight specified in earlier slides

  13. 1.ENTERING TEST MARKS

  14. This is an example of the Test mark entry screen here you will enter the students marks

  15. After you have entered your marks in the blocks provided click on the save button to SAVE your marks or click on the REVERT CHANGES button to clear all fields

  16. Upon saving the system will indicate to you whether the student has passed or failed based upon the assessment requirements for your subject

  17. 2.ENTER FULL PERIOD MARKS

  18. Within this menu one will be able to Enter test Marks Enter Full period Marks

  19. This is an example of the FULL PERIOD MARK entry screen here you will enter the students FULL PERIOD marks

  20. After you have entered your marks in the blocks provided click on the save button to SAVE your marks or click on the REVERT CHANGES button to clear all fields

  21. VALIDATE TEST MARKS

  22. COMPUTING FULL PERIOD MARKS

  23. Click on the COMPUTE TEST/FULL PERIOD MARK link

  24. Select the desired Exam month then click on the search button

  25. Click on the desired subject

  27. This is the compute Full period mark screen here you will find all entered test marks and Full period marks if you are happy with the result you may proceed with the compute

  28. Before committing a full Compute the system allows you to run the compute in trial this is best practice as you will be able to pick up any errors before they are committed on the system • If you are happy with the Trial proceed to run the full compute

  29. Compute exam admission • Computing Exam admission is not too different from Computing full period marks, if you have successfully followed the directions in the previous slides you this should be a slice of cake.

  30. Click on the COMPUTE EXAM ADDMISSION link

  31. Click on the desired subject

  32. Click on search button

  33. This is the compute EXAM ADDMISSION screen here you will find all entered test marks and Full period marks if you are happy with the result you may proceed with the compute

  34. Before committing a full Compute the system allows you to run the compute in trial this is best practice as you will be able to pick up any errors before they are committed on the system • If you are happy with the Trial proceed to run the full compute

  35. NOTE: AFTER YOU HAVE RUN THE COMPUTE ALL STUDENTS THAT QUALIFY FOR THE EXAM WILL HAVE A (Y) IN THE EXAM ADDMISSION COLUMN

  38. SAVING AND NOTIFYING THE MARK APPROVER • After computing Exam admission your marks need to be approved by your HOD to do this do the following NEW DEVELOPMENT COMING SOON

  39. Click on the ENTER TEST/FULL PERIOD MARK link to access the mark entry menu

  40. Click on the desired subject

  41. Click on ENTER FULL PERIOD MARK LINK

  42. You will notice that the marks you have saved earlier still appear in the boxes below

  43. Scroll Down to the bottom of the page and click the SAVE AND NOTIFY APPROVER button This process will automatically send an email to your HOD asking him to approve the marks that you have entered and computed
