  2. Why are we against the Dibden Bay port expansion? • Thousands of habitats destroyed • Relocation of natural mud-flats • Possible death of hundreds of birds • Total loss of grazing marsh • Noise pollution • Complete disruption to natural environments

  4. What are we responsible for? • Protecting SSSI’s • Proposal will have an adverse affect on the national park • Dibden bay has colonised naturally over the past few decades by rare plants, birds and fish. • Many species will be endangered. Endangered

  5. ABP (associated British Ports) are intending to construct a 240 hectare container terminal in Southampton. The potential development is an essential SSSI for the area.   7. After A huge port development will cause huge disturbance to the community. Physical beauty is destroyed, recreational and environmental values will decrease. We do not believe that the few possible economic impacts outweigh the devastating environmental impacts
