  2. You may have heard of popular content discovery / feed reader tools like Flipboard, Google Reader, and Pocket. These are all great and most of us still use them on a daily basis. Recently though, we just found out about a beautiful multi- platform feed reader called Feedly, which makes reading and curating content for social networks extremely fun.

Feedly is a feed reader that aggregates all of your subscriptions, as well as a content discovery platform, with a beautiful layout and some great sharing options for social media – it is definitely a top choice among the competition. Feedly is supported on iOS, Android, Kindle, and desktop – for this article we’ll focus on the desktop version.

  4. Right off the bat, you’ll be introduced to a simple and minimalistic layout accompanied by some nice typography. From there, you can add feeds, or even import then from Google Reader. Other options include changing the theme to a different color. There are several layouts to choose from when displaying content from your subscriptions – from the classic list style, to an endless Pinterest-style feed, to a magazine type feed.

One of the best features of Feedly though, is its built in support for sharing to a variety of social networks – which makes it one of our top choices for social media community managers and the like. Some of these supported networks include Twitter, Google+, Facebook, and more while also including Buffer for community managers who need to schedule posts and tweets.
