  1. What problems can occur if your air conditioner is not installed properly?

  2. The refrigerant is leaking If your refrigerant level is lower than specified by the manufacturer, chances are that either the duct is leaky, or the gas wasn’t charged enough at the time of installation. Both of the situations will result in very low cooling. While these situations represent the incompetence of the air conditioner installers, you should not hesitate to call a certified air conditioning professional.

  3. The Sensor isn’t working All air conditioners use a sensor to sense the temperature of the air coming into the vent. This sensor helps the thermostat to turn off and on accordingly. If the sensor doesn’t work you will be unable to control the temperature of your room. This happens when the sensor is knocked from its actual position. It should be placed in the panel, but should not touch the coil. If it touches the coil, it cannot tell the true temperature of the atmosphere. You can, however, fix this problem by moving the sensor slightly till it isn’t touching the coil.

  4. The collapse of the Electric Control System If the wiring is weak the electric terminals can get corroded. This situation results in a system that is oversized for the type of wiring. This issue should be addressed at the time of installation.

  5. The Drainage isn’t working well The condensate drain can become clogged and won’t be able to drain the water properly. This problem occurs when the air conditioner is not mounted well.
