  1. ADT Select EntryWeb ServiceData Upload Basics Some helpful tricks to help your customers with the process

  2. How To Get Started • Here is the document you will need to refer to for all data uploads • http://www.brivo.com/docs/en/MKT-DOC-003-BrivoDataUpload.pdf • You need to order the ACSDTATACON • The PO is created at the branch and faxed to Brivo at 240-965-2210

  3. Every System Has Data To Load • Always address the data entry / upload topic!! • Regardless of taking over an existing system or installing a new system always ask the question “who is entering the data”. • Would you like this system “turnkey”? • “Never under estimate your customers willingness to pay for convenience”

  4. New Systems • Ask the customer if they have a list of names or some sort of database they will be using • Once they have this on an Excel spread sheet they can associate new card numbers • This assumes that a. They can sort names alphabetically b. They have or know what the new card format, facility code and card number range • These can be revenue generators for the sales rep

  5. Takeover/UpgradesDetermine the hardware • What is the old system and does it use “common readers” HID or Indala • If no what are they and what wire is currently in place • Can we get a picture of the readers • These will have to be evaluated on a case by case basis • There are some other readers we can use and many we cannot http://stage.www.brivo.net/docs/en/ENG-DOC-007-ACS5000WiringGuide.pdf • Even if they can patch the old system together what is the future? • Who will supply the cards & readers long term?

  6. What Are The Cards • What is printed on the card or what is the system using the cards. Many times this will let you know what the cards and readers are • Card identification.doc • There are dozens of proprietary HID formats • If they are HID or Indala you can refer to Bob Mounter’s card identification document • In the case of older cards you may not be able to identify the card other than the hot stamp. • Step1: Reade it on a reader connected to web service Step2: Calculate the card number and facility code Step3: Enter the card as a “known Format” and attach to a user Step4:Does the card work?

  7. The Best Way To Identify A Cards Compatibility Step1: Reade it on a reader connected to web service Step2: Calculate the card number and facility code in the Brivo card calculator Step3: Enter the card as a “known Format” and attach to a user Step4: Read the card again. Does the card work?

  8. Proprietary CardsWhat Are My Options • There are no easy answers for these customers operating on a budget • If they are going to swipe to enroll they can still import the names, note fields & access groups • They can systematically swipe to enroll each card in order and assign to the users

  9. Always Offer the New Card Option • Buy new cards and populate them on the spread sheet of names
