Library Student Learning Outcome • Be able to locate Delta College Library’s website and be aware of the library’s variety of resources and services • Be able to find books in print and electronic formats, and reserved readings from the library catalog (GoCat) • Be able to conduct a keyword/phrase search in GoElectronic to find academic research articles from journals on a chosen topic • Be able to limit your search results and evaluate retrieved sources that are pertinent to your topic and save or e-mail or print the sources • Be able to find videos on a chosen topic • Understand the procedure of developing an annotated bibliography • Be able to cite the sources in MLA style

  4. Search for Books in GoCat Click on the title link to display detailed information.

Search for Reserved Items or Textbooks Select Reserve Desk from the dropdown menu Choose Instructor Name (or Course Name and Course ID number) from the search field Enter your professor’s last name in the search box Click Enter or Return on your computer keyboard or on the Search button. 5. Click on your professor’s name link to display reserved item(s) for his classes.

  7. Search for Reserved Items or Textbooks • Click on the title link to display the detailed record • Identify the location, call number, and circulation status of the reserved item. • To check it out at the Circulation/Reserve Desk, present the call number and your library card.

  13. Read the Full Content of an Article Adjust the screen size • Click on the Cite icon and scroll down to find your preferred citation format.
